It's My Birthday!

It's my birthday today! Yours truly is now 23 years old - an auspicious age because my mom's always told me that she hasn't aged since 23, she's only gotten wiser. I'd ask her why 23, and she said that she had the time of her life that year. She made a really exciting career move (she became a fashion merchandiser) and she went on a huge adventure travelling around - so it looks like it kind of runs in the family, going on a big adventure at age 23.

Oh, have I told you? I'm moving to Spain in June! I got hired to be an intern at a language school company in Madrid and I'm beyond thrilled. I've wanted this for so, so long and every decision I've made for the past year has been to make this happen. I've never worked so hard for something in my life, and it's been unbelievable seeing it happen, piece by piece. Will let you know all about it and bring you with me when I go, of course! ;)

So I made a wishlist for my birthday a couple days before, and it looks like I got pretty lucky! I wrote:

For my birthday, I would like

1.) for my internship to be confirmed. (CHECK!)
1.) (tied in first place) an EU passport - can anyone hook a girl up? :P (Yeah, right. :P)
3.) a cheap ticket to Spain. (CHECK! My very extravagant birthday present to myself. :D)
4.) for the atrocity on my face to go away. (Check...sort of. It's started to heal, at least.)
5.) a harem of beautiful men. Okay, that's a little greedy. I'll abandon the thought of a harem if I can just have Takeshi Kaneshiro. (Not happening, but a girl can dream. :P)
6.) (if you're a relative reading this) contributions to the Send Tina to Spain Fund. (Well...I pretty much AM the Send Tina to Spain Fund.)
7.) new clothes for Spain.
8.) Snorg Tee's Body of A God Tee.
9.) Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Red Revival. (CHECK!)

Anyway, hope you all are having a great time too, working hard and seeing your goals come true. You can do whatever you set your mind to - never give up!
